The WEBELOS Woods weekend campout program reinforces many values important to all Scouts: understanding Boy Scouts, appreciation of the workings of a Scout Troop and the patrol method, introduction to advanced Scouting skills, the thrill of camping in the great outdoors, and a strong desire to continue Scouting as a Boy Scout in a boy-run Troop.
Troops – We need you to run a station to help teach the Scouting skills that the WEBELOS will need when they become Boy Scouts. Some Ideas on Stations are: Knots, Compass use, Shelters, Leave no Trace, Cooking, and Staying Found, GPS usage, Water Purification, Fire Making, First Aid & First Aid Kits, 72 hour kits and other Survival Skills.
Packs – Come and learn the skills that all Scouts need. WEBELOS Woods is a great opportunity to see Boy Scouts in Action and have a great time. Attend interesting sessions, try out the BB and archery ranges and get some great camping experience.
Parking – Parking is always a problem at this event so we would like to ask for your help to make sure things go as smoothly as possible. Carpooling is very important. We need to reduce the number of vehicles in camp.
