Your patrol must run 50 yards, lash a tripod, wait for inspection, dismantle it, and run back!
TWO POINTS for setting up tripod
PLUS TWO for under 2 minutes
PLUS ONE for under 5 minutes

Archery Range--Blindfold Tent Set Up

EVENT: Blind Tent Challenge
PROBLEM: You have encountered a blinding snowstorm, making it difficult to continue. One
scout will not be blindfolded but will be in a sleeping bag, telling each scout how to set up the
tent.

Knowle’s Shelter--First Aid
Troop 16 Westerly
You found a victim of a hiking accident. He has a broken arm and a sprained ankle. Don’t just leave him there! 
Treat the victim. ONE point per fix.
Tie together a stretcher. TWO points.
 Get him to safety! THREE points for thirty seconds without dropping the stretcher, or breaking the stretcher. Patrols that last less than thirty seconds will have points awarded according to the event host’s discretion.


Whaley Shelter--Panning For Gold
Troop 9 Pawcatuck
Patrol uses a tarp co-operatively to toss a "nugget" over a horizontal rope 3 m above the ground. The nugget should be a tennis ball or a larger ball, colored yellow. It must not be a hard object in case it falls on a Scout's head. The event can be scored by counting the number of consecutive times the nugget gets over the rope.


Buxton Shelter--Pulp Log Toss/Two Man Saw
Troop 2 Narragansett
PROBLEM: You must cut a log using a two man saw and then toss a log ten feet and have it
land on a line.
SCORING: General Scoring Rule applies, 1 point per log tossed landing on the line.


Mowrey Tavern--Kim’s Game
Troop 21 Ashaway
PROBLEM: Your Patrol will be shown and asked to memorize several items that are under a
tarp. You will see them for 15 seconds, then asked to tell which ones you remember.
SCORING: 2 points per correct item. 1 point taken off for wrong answers. General Scoring Rule
applies.


Mulherne Shelter--Ice Rescue
Troop 147 Quidnessett
PROBLEM: Your patrol leader has been separated from your patrol. You must tie together as
many 6 inch lengths of rope as it takes to reach the lost member. You must pull him to safety.
SCORING: 1-10 points for Scout Spirit (determined by judges), 5 points for participation, 10
points for completion of mission. Extra 5 points awarded for every Sheet Bend, Square, or
Bowline knot tied properly.

Tucker Shelter--Dead Horse Carry

Dead Horse Carry 
Your pack horse has died and you need to get it off the trail. Scouts have to work together as a patrol to lift and carry a ungainly weight wrapped in a tarp.

Iditarod Race!
Get ready, driver, time to get around Aquapaug! Race around the Great Field and lead your patrol of huskies to victory! Get moving!
TEN POINTS for first place! Tournament Style Competition.
FIVE POINTS for second place!
THREE POINTS for third place!
TWO POINTS for all successive finishers!

Please Note that no propane stoves or heaters or other fuel devices can be operated inside cabins or tents.
