2019 Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge 

Buzzards Bay - 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM 

WHO - This event is for Scouts BSA

WHAT - Under the leadership of the Coalition for Buzzards Bay, Scouts will earn the Soil & Water Merit Badge . Participants will enjoy hands on learning opportunities at the newly conserved property.  The Conservation Area includes a cranberry bog, several type of wetlands, a managed forest, a stream and a dam. All of which will help participants understand different types of soil, how soil is formed, erosion, conservation practices, watershed makeup, hydrologic cycles, water pollution and more!

WHERE - Acushnet River Reserve at the Sawmill - 32 Mill Road Acushnet, MA 02743
