Backpack in the Sangre de Christo range of the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico with Narragansett Council, leaving in late June, 2014. Dates finalized by Fall/Winter 2012.Spend 10 days hiking in the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico. Visit back country camps that offer rock climbing, burro racing, fly fishing, black powder rifle shooting, tomahawk throwing, an Indian sweat lodge, fur trapping, gold panning, search and rescue training, climb Mount Baldy and Mount Philips, and much more. Be prepared to work hard and have the adventure of a lifetime!
COST: Approximately $2400 payable in installments; a $200 deposit is due at registration. Please note that fees shown are tentative and subject to change based on variable transportation costs, including but not limited to air fare.

Requirements:
All Participants must meet the BSA Body Mass Index (BMI) guidlelines as stated on the BSA medical form. There are no exceptions.Youth participants must be 14 years of age OR completed 8th Grade and beat least 13 years of age prior to participation. Please do not request or expect exceptions. Requirements for Philmont participation cannot be relaxed. Adults must be registered leaders, SM/ASM & Youth Protection Trained, and in excellent physical shape.
