Our Council is participating as one of eight beta-test councils Nationwide using the new Web-based Tour Permits system for both Local and National Tour Permits.  We will begin one month before all other councils to provide valuable feedback to the Boy Scouts of America on this experience.

The new online system will allow unit volunteers to complete tour permit applications and to easily submit them to the Council for approval.  Tour Permits will be accessed through a portal called MyScouting.  Registered unit adult leaders will have access to Tour Permits. Volunteers who create personalized MyScouting accounts will find other applications such as E-Learning, Rechartering, and Advancement.   

The personalized user account serves as the origin of all tour permit submittals. There will be automatic notification at all appropriate steps in the process to the permit creator, the tour leader, assistant tour leader, unit committee chair, and unit leader.  Each person who is to receive e-mail notification is required to have a MyScouting account.

Before you begin submitting Tour Permits Online please have the unit leader, unit committee chair, and the tour leader(s) create an account. You will also need your person ID found on your membership card to create the MyScouting Account.
