Support Scouting in Southeastern New England

Prepared. For Life.

Your support has enabled the Boy Scouts of America to remain steadfast in its mission

to teach life skills and strong values to our next generation of leaders. Scouting truly does

make young men and women Prepared. For Life.™

Last year, nearly 12,000 young people experienced the adventure of Scouting in the

Narragansett Council. Some camped out for the first time while others learned first aid

and lifesaving skills. Most importantly, Scouts had the chance to build confidence and

character through the mentorship of another Scout, adult leader or parent. Additionally,

in 2014, 263 achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

I would like to make sure that every young person that wants to join Scouting has

the chance, but I need your help today to make that happen. Scouting changes lives

in a positive way. For example, here’s the story of Sebastian, now a senior in high school,

who benefited from his Scouting experience:

“My mom brought me to my first Cub Scout meeting when I was seven. Things were pretty rough

at home and she wanted me to have positive role models. I was shy at first, but all the fun I had

in Scouting helped me build my self-confidence. I stayed in the program and eventually worked

my way to become an Eagle Scout. The program taught me how to be a leader and to always help

others, which is why I’ll be attending the Naval Academy Prep School once I graduate.”

YOU can help Scouts like Sebastian believe they can and will achieve their dreams.

Just imagine... young Scouts having the chance to experience sitting around a campfire,

roasting s’mores, and telling stories about their day; rock climbing, swimming in the lake,

or taking a simple hiking trip. Are you smiling, yet? Your gift today will guarantee that a

Scout in need will get to experience what Scouting has to offer.

Please find it in your heart to make a donation in the amount that is most

meaningful to you.

On behalf of the youth you are helping...

Thank you,
