What is Woodbadge?

Wood Badge is a leadership course designed for all adult Scouters. It has been designed so every adult leader for Cub Scout to strengthen Scouting. The latest version of Wood Badge training reflects the most significant changes in the program since the early 1970s. Wood Badge will improve your leadership skills.

As a participant you will take part in many presentations, discussions, and activities that explore a wide range of leadership philosophies and tools. A key area of exploration is the process of team develop-ment. By recognizing the stages through which developing teams must pass, you will learn to apply appropriate leadership strategies that enable teams to reach their highest level of performance.

The Ticket

There are two parts to Wood Badge training. The first is the course itself and the second is the ticket. While on course, you will choose a set of personal goals relating to your Scouting position. This is your ticket. Accomplishing these goals allows you to apply and practice the skills learned on course. After you have completed the course and your ticket, you will be awarded your Wood Badge - your beads.

Payment

A $75 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. Balance due is required by April 1, 2017. If you register after April 1st, full balance will be due at registration.
