Webelos Woods at Camp Norse 

 

 

WHO - Webelos Woods is an event designed to introduce Webelos to the many outdoor adventures of Scouting. 


WHAT - This awesome event includes patrol-method camping and Scout activities. On Saturday morning, Webelos Scout patrols will visit skill stations ( first aid, fire building, camping skills, games and knots) where Troops will be teaching basic Scout skills. 


WHERE- Camp Norse - 112 Parting Ways Road, Kingston, MA 02364


WHY -  

  • Webelos Woods is the first chance for Webelos to interact with the Scouts!
  • Webelos Scouts will camp as a patrol with a host Scout Troop. 
  • Webelos Scouts will learn Scout skills from Scouts while having fun with competitions and activities on Saturday. 
  • Webelos Scouts will experience the thrill of preparing meals  with your host Troop. 
  • Food will be provided by your host Troop for Saturday lunch. Scouts attending as individuals should bring their own lunch.
  • The Saturday night campfire will include skits and songs. 
  • Parents of Webelos Scouts will learn about transitioning to Boy Scouts and tips on what to look for in a Scout Troop. 
  • Webelos Scouts are encouraged to contact a partner Troop. 

WHEN - Saturday, September 21st

Campfire Program Note:

Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate in the campfire on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Smith will be coming to each unit at lunch to sign-up troops and packs for a song or skit.
