The Upcoming White Stag Course in Narragansett Council

The next Narragansett Council White Stag NYLT course will be held during the summer of 2010 The course will take place Thursday, June 24th (5:00PM registration) through Tuesday, June 29th (5:00PM graduation, 6:00PM departure) and will be held at the Champlin Scout Reservation in Cranston, RI.

There is also a mandatory orientation meeting to be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010.  There will be a morning session from 11AM-12PM and also an afternoon session from 2PM-3PM.  You will be notified via e-mail a few weeks before the orientation on which session you should attend. You must bring your signed Code of Conduct Form and Completed Medical Form with physician's signature to the orientation.

Eligibility for White Stag is based on three requirements:

• Be 13 years old and a First Class Scout by May 1, 2010
• Be in a major leadership position (SPL or ASPL) or will be in the near future
• Be nominated by the Scoutmaster and Committee Chair of your home troop

The course fee is $250 per scout after May 1, 2010. Take advantage of a good scout discount of $50 before May 1, 2010.  The absolute last day to register is May 15, 2010.
