Cross Sound Ferry Information 2008
Leaving Camp Yawgoog: 4:00 PM Ferry from New London, Connecticut
Yawgoog Scout Reservation will provide bus transportation for those units confirming their needs with the Bucklin Office Staff by the Tuesday prior to their week at Camp. Transportation can only be provided for the above Ferry times.
The cost for this service is $9.50 round trip per person. These fees are due with your Bus Reply card 16 days prior to your arrival at camp.
Although leaders are free to check in at the Bucklin Memorial after 3:00 PM on Sunday, units will not be allowed to move into campsites until 5:30 PM. This is per our No Nonsense Campsite Policies. The Yawgoog staff needs until 5:30 to prepare each campsite for its incoming group. As always, we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Ferry Reservations are an absolute must!
Ferry Reservations must be made between June 1 and June 30!
Call (631) 323-2525 between 6:00 AM & 3:00 PM and ask to speak with the person handling Boy Scout Troop Reservations. They need to hear from you by June 30.
Cars with driver: $46.64 one way
Scouts under 12 years of age: $6.36 one way
All other Scouts & Leaders: $13.78 one way
Trailers: $2.65 per foot up to 30 feet
These costs may be subject to change before the summer.
The Cross Sound Ferry will deduct 10% from the amount due for passengers only.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FERRY FEES ARE SEPARATE FROM AND IN ADDITION TO BUS TRANSPORTATION COSTS.
