42ND ANNUAL KLONDIKE DERBY
WHO - This event is for Scouts BSA troops, crews, and ships looking to put their Scout skills to the ultimate test!
Adventure card holder (In- Council Scouts) $15
Non Adventure card holders (Out of Council Scouts) $25
WHAT - The Klondike Derby is an annual winter event based on the heritage and history of the Alaskan Gold Rush. The event is designed for patrols to go from station to station with a traditional Klondike sled (called a sledge) to test their skills and leadership ability in the outdoor winter environment.
Schedule Of Events:
6:45-8:30 Weigh-in & Sledge inspection at The Outfitters (Boat House)
7:00-8:30 Registration at Dawson City (The 21 Club)
8:00 am Patrols waiting to start at Yukon Territory (Tom Cullen Field)
8:00-12:00 Klondike Underway
12:00-1:00 Scouts: Lunch will be at the station you are at, at 12:00pm. Scouts are to bring Bagged Lunch, Water Bottle and Snacks for the day. Mayors (and their staff) are to stop stations at Noon and proceed to Lunch provided for them. *Staff Lunch location TBA* Mayors return to their station by 1pm.
1:00-4:00 Klondike Underway 4:00 pm Score sheets passed in and Troop Envelopes to be picked up @ Dawson City (The 21 Club)

(Cachalot is located in Myles Standish State forest - when using GPS – use Myles Standish State Forest location and follow the signs to Cachalot)
Please note: GPS is highly unreliable in the State Forest and you should always stay on approved roadways.
Check-in at the Visitor Center at the Boat House.
Parking staff attendants will direct all vehicles upon arrival to drop-off area/parking areas. To ensure the safety of all of our guests, please check with the attendant before parking your vehicle.

Troops should register minimally 4 Scouts with a maximum of 8 per sledge. All Scout must be registered through the council website.
Please come dressed in winter weather gear, including face masks!
Lunch should be brought by each individual and should not be shared with others.
