It costs a one-time plate fee of $42.50, with $20 of that payment going to support Scouting in the Narragansett Council! RIGL § 31-3-119 \n  \n  \n Support Scouting by helping us achieve our goal of 125 specialty plates sold!  \n  \n  \n Specialty plates will not be handed out by the Rhode Island DMV until the required 125 plate minimum per plate type is reached.  We have five years to meet this goal/requirement.
