DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n THE 7TH ANNUAL KING CHAMPLIN'S HORSE-O-REE HAS BEEN CANCELED.   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n 7th Annual King Champlin's Pitmaster Horse-O-Ree \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n WHO - This event is for all Scouts BSA Troops and Venture Crews.  \n  \n  \n Attend as a Troop, Individuals can sign up for the Horsemanship Merit Badge. \n  \n  \n  \n WHAT -   A camporee featuring the Horsemanship Merit Badge (the only opportunity in 2020 to earn this merit badge in the Narragansett Council)! In addition, there will be a series of pitmaster challenges such as BBQ Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, and Chopped Desert Challenge featuring mystery ingredients. We will also have medieval re-enactors and activities for Scouts to participate in and learn more about medieval times.  \n  \n  \n Click here for Event Menu, Schedule, Cooking Rules/Guidelines and Merit Badge Instructions \n  \n  \n  \n WHERE - Camp Champlin - 223 Scituate Ave Cranston, RI 02921 \n  \n  \n Check-in located in the Camp Master Cabin at the top of the main parking lot starting at 6:00 PM Friday night. \n  \n  \n Parking available in the main parking lot, please limit vehicles in Campsites.  \n  \n  \n  \n WHY - A weekend full of fun, friends, food and Competition!  Come show your BBQ skills and compete to be the ultimate PITMASTER. Earn Horsemanship Merit Badge, learn about Medieval times and traditions, and participate in an incredible cooking competition for awesome prizes! \n  \n  \n  \n WHEN - Friday April 24th 2020 - Sunday April 26th 2020 \n  \n  \n Arrive 4/24/20 - Check-in 6:00 PM  \n  \n  \n Event begins 4/25/20 - all day  \n  \n  \n Depart - 4/26/20 \n  \n  \n Program will begin Saturday at 9:00 AM and will end after the 8:00 PM campfire.  \n  \n  \n Horsemanship Merit Badge - is limited to the first 30 Scouts who sign up.
