	Dr. Jim Magyar 
	Dr. James Magyar is Professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Physical Sciences 
	Department at Rhode Island College in Providence. He has a bachelor’s degree from 
	Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and a PhD from Northwestern University in Illinois. 
	His research interests include physical organic chemistry, photochemistry and 
	environmental chemistry. A former Scoutmaster. he is the COR for Troop 76 Providence. 
	Dr. Elaine Magyar 
	Dr. Elaine Magyar is Professor of Chemistry in the Physical Sciences Department at 
	Rhode Island College. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College, South 
	Hadley, Massachusetts, and a PhD from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. Her 
	research interests include nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, organic chemistry, 
	and applications of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. She is on the troop committee 
	of Troop 76 Providence.
