WHO - This event is for Scouts BSA members. 

Attend as a troop (broken into patrols)

Units are encouraged to camp overnight. Units who camp overnight will receive a special Klondike Overnight patch.

WHAT - A Klondike Derby is a winter sled-based Scouting event where patrols travel with a sled full of supplies to various activity stations and compete against other patrols for prizes. 

WHERE - Camp Aquapaug - 1620 Ministerial Road West Kingston, RI 02892

Event check-in on Saturday outside of Knowles Shelter (F on the camp map)

Primary parking will be on the Parking Field (B on the Aquapaug map located below) when you arrive at camp take the fork to the left to enter the parking field.

WHEN - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH 2024

The Klondike Derby events will start Saturday morning at 9:00 AM with activity stations open at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be by troop from 12:30 - 1:00 PM. Event ends at 4:00 PM. Ribbons and patches will be mailed to the unit leader after the event is over. 

Program - Saturday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Please come dressed in winter weather gear, including face masks!

Lunch will not be provided and should be brought by each individual and should not be shared with others.
