Tim McCandless has been selected as the eighth Scout Executive & CEO of the Narragansett Council effective on Monday, May 16^th.

Tim is currently the Scout Executive & CEO of the Inland Northwest Council, Boy Scouts of America headquartered in Spokane, Washington.  He is an Eagle Scout, past Order of the Arrow Lodge Chief and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow.  He has completed Wood Badge Training (Beaver Patrol) and was later on Wood Badge Course staff.  Tim and his wife Peggy have 3 adult Eagle Scout sons.

Tim has spent his entire career working with the Boy Scouts of America.  He has served youth through the Scouting program in the Longs Peak Council in Colorado, the Milwaukee County Council in Wisconsin and he has been with the Inland Northwest Council since 2003.  He was on staff for and later the director of Ben Delatour Scout Ranch near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado.

Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Colorado State University and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Tim’s interests include photography, road and mountain biking, hiking, backpacking and woodworking.
