Adventure Base Camp - Pinewood Derby Workshop

Adventure Base Camp is for the whole family - not just youth!

WHO - This event is for Scouts and non-Scouters. Families and friends are all welcome! This event is geared for youth ages 4-12. Come as a family, den, or with members of your pack. 

WHAT - Design and build your wicked awesome pinewood derby at Adventure Base Camp’s Pinewood Derby Workshop! We’ll have templates available and our staff will be there to cut out your design and help get your wheels on. Pinewood Derby cars can be purchased at the West Bay Scout Shop or at Adventure Base Camp the day of the event for $5. Registration time slots are for each individual cars being worked on, not the number of people that will be attending.

This event is 100% outdoors and will follow Rhode Island safety guidelines. Masks are required everywhere at Adventure Base Camp. Participants will be required to complete a brief COVID screening and waiver at check-in.

WHERE - Adventure Base Camp -223 Scituate Ave Cranston, RI 02921

Check-in in at the Main office. Signs will be posted pointing you in the right direction as you drive-in.

As you drive in you will see the signs for the parking lot.

WHY - This is a great opportunity for Cub Scouts to work on their pinewood derby cars. We understand that not everyone has access to tools for cutting and shaping their car. That’s where we come in!
