IOLS - Adult Leader Training
WHO - Required outdoor training for all Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Venturing Leaders.
WHAT - Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills - The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in the Scouts BSA handbook. Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program.
WHERE – Troop 9 Cabin, Curtis Tract, Camp Sandy Beach - 61 Camp Yawgoog Road Rockville, RI 02873
WHY - IOLS will provide leaders with the basic skills and information needed to start a program right. This course focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences.
WHEN - Tuesday, June 27th 7:00PM through Wednesday, June 28th 5:00PM

Recommended items for an overnight campout include:
- tent (if there is a problem with sleeping in a tent please let us know)
- sleeping bag
- sleeping pad
- ground cloth
- backpack
- flashlight
- camping chair
- personal hygiene items
- change of clothes
- rain gear
- water bottle
- notebook, pen or pencil
Scout uniform is not required for this training please dress comfortably.
