2023 National Scout Jamboree Webinar

Forward

Who: The 2023 National Scout Jamboree Webinar is open to everyone! Especially Scouts BSA families and adult leaders who are interested in learning more about Scouting's flagstone event.

When: Sunday June 5, 2020, 7:00 PM-8:00PM EST

What: The webinar will feature an expert panel including Narragansett Council Jamboree Chairman John Potvin. The panel will also feature members of the Council Jamboree Committee, past Jamboree Scouts, Scoutmasters, and Narragansett Council staff. They'll discuss what's happening at the 2023 National Jamboree along with exciting details about the Narragansett Council contingent. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion throughout the webinar.

Why: Scouting’s flagship event is one-of-a-kind. It’s a gathering of tens of thousands of Scouts, leaders, and Jamboree Service Team members that showcases everything that is great about the Boy Scouts of America. Over the course of 10 summer days, once every four years, the Boy Scouts of America gathers together at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. Scouts and Scouters who attend will

explore all kinds of adventures—stadium shows, pioneer village, Mount Jack hikes, adventure sports and more—in the heart of one of nature’s greatest playgrounds. With 10,000 acres at the Summit to explore, there’s no shortage of opportunities to build Scouting memories. The Narragansett Council is excited to send a contingent of 96 Scouts and adults to the National Jamboree in 2023!

The 2023 National Jamboree theme is "Forward" a bold look ahead for Jamboree participants as they prep for a future of character and

 leadership.

Nothing is impossible for the prepared young person- no future is out of reach for a committed people who care. It's important to signal that the limits people perceive are self-imposed and that with an embrace and application of the 12 points of the Scout Law and three points of the Scout Oath, there is a bright and positive future.

Participants in the 2023 National Jamboree will learn that character is created when you achieve more than you thought possible.
