Adventure Base Camp - Animal Detective Day
Adventure Base Camp is for the whole family - not just youth!
WHO - Anyone who wishes to go on an ADVENTURE! This event is for Scouts, Scouters, and non-Scouters, families and friends ages 6 and up, are all welcome!
WHAT - In the morning we will be doing S.T.E.M. and nature activities that are all about animals and their habitats. Adventure Base Camp will provide a snack in the afternoon and participants should bring a bagged lunch. In the afternoon we will be joined by 15 Minute Field Trips for Animal Detective. We will learn all about animal clues in nature and how to spot them. We will even be taking a hike throughout camp to test out our new skills.
WHERE - Adventure Base Camp - 223 Scituate Avenue Cranston, RI 02921
Check-in at the main office. Signs will be posted pointing you in the right direction as you drive-in.
As you drive in you will see signs for the parking lot.
WHY - Learn more about animals in our area and how to look for signs of these animals. Fill up February break with unique and fun activities! Parents are welcome to attend with youth but it is not required for this event.
Registered member of the Boys Scouts of America - Tigers can earn requirements 1 and 3 of the My Tiger Jungle Adventure. Wolves can earn requirement 6 from the Paws on the Path Adventure. Bears can earn requirements 1 and 3 from the Fur, Feathers, and Ferns Adventure. WEBELOS/AOLs can earn requirement 6 from the Into the Wild Adventure.
