2024 Klondike at Buck Hill
WHO - This event is for Scouts BSA patrols looking to put their Scout skills to the ultimate test!
Units are encouraged to camp overnight. Units who camp overnight will receive a special Klondike Overnight patch.

WHAT - The Klondike Derby is an annual winter event based on the heritage and history of the Alaskan Gold Rush. The event is designed for patrols to go from station to station with a traditional Klondike sled to test their skills and leadership ability in the outdoor winter environment.
WHERE - Buck Hill Scout Reservation - 422 Croff Road Pascoag, RI 02859
Check-in will be held at Hamilton Lodge from 7:30 am - 8:30 am. To get to the Hamilton Lodge, turn left into the camp entrance down Alcobb Drive and it will be on your left across from Pulver Lodge.
Parking is limited so we encourage all units to carpool. Our main parking lot is directly across from the camp entrance on Wakefield Road. If needed, spots will be made available on the exterior of Hamilton Lodge.
WHY - To compete and show your dominance in Scouting skills competitions!
All participants will receive a themed patch and ribbons will be distributed to the top three sleds/event.
WHEN - Saturday February 3rd, 2024
Check-in - Saturday 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM
Program begins Saturday 8:45 AM
Program ends - Saturday 3:00 PM
Stations close at 3 but awards and the closing ceremony ends at 4.
HOW - Register online today! Attend as a Unit but each can have multiple patrols provided there is 1 sled/patrol.
Given the season, please dress in multiple layers including all the necessities such as a winter hat, gloves/mittens and a winter coat.
Units are responsible for providing their own lunches.
