Every season is Hiking Season!

Scouts can discover the great outdoors right nearby! So, get out there and ruminate while you ramble. 

Most importantly be aware of changes in weather and follow the Guide to Safe Scouting.


Blue Hills Reservation in Milton Massachusetts offers over 100 miles of trails varying from quick loops to 3-hour long hikes.  Check out their website to see more.

Caratunk Wildlife Refuge located in Seekonk Massachusetts is home to a 2-mile easy walk where you can come across plenty of nature and animals such as muskrats, otters, turtles and more.  Here is the link for more information.


Rhode Island

Norman Bird Sanctuary found in Middletown Rhode Island provides over 7 miles of different hikes covering 10 different trails.  This variety provides an enjoyable experience for all different levels of hikers.  For more information, click this link.

Fort Nature Reserve in North Smithfield Rhode Island features a nice mile and a half loop that can be extended onto some of the other trails they offer.  Link for more information.
