Conservation and Sustainability

Who we are

Formed in 2020,the Conservation &Sustainability Committee is a volunteer team of environmental professionals, including the council’s Director of Camping. We advise the council on caring for its camps and natural resources, and we help Scouts and leaders through four areas:stewardship, service, achievement, and education.

New to Scouting? Our outdoor ethics

  • Outdoor Code:a Scout’s promise to be clean,careful,considerate,and conservation-minded.
  • Leave No Trace:seven principles for leaving nature as you found it.
  • Tread Lightly:responsible recreation on trails and water.
