Support your Scout’s unit with a family gift
In 2026, every Scout group in the Narragansett Council is inviting its families to give. Any amount helps. What matters most is that as many families as possible take part.
How it works
It takes about two minutes. You don’t need to know anything about Scouting beyond your child’s group and town.
Find your unit
Search the list below by your town or your Scout’s pack or troop number.
Tap “Give”
You’ll go to Scouting America’s secure donation page set up just for your unit.
Your unit gets credit
Your gift counts toward your unit’s family participation goal and its Lighthouse Unit Award.
Find your Scout’s unit
Not sure of your unit number? Ask your Scout’s leader, or check a recent unit email, uniform patch or registration receipt.
Reading the list: a Pack is for Cub Scouts (kindergarten to 5th grade). A Troop is for Scouts ages 11 to 17. Some towns have more than one unit with the same number, so check the town name too.
Where your gift goes
Family gifts go to the Narragansett Council’s Annual Fund. Your unit gets credit for every family that gives, so a $10 gift counts toward participation just as much as a large one.
Membership dues don’t cover the full cost of Scouting. The Annual Fund helps close that gap for every Scout in the council, including your own.
- ProgramsActivities, events and advancement opportunities for Scouts across the council.
- CampsUpkeep and programs at council camps like Camp Yawgoog, where many Scouts spend summer and weekends.
- RecruitmentHelping new families find and join Scouting in their community.
Common questions
Is there a minimum amount?
No. The challenge is about how many families take part, not how much each one gives. Give whatever feels right for your family.
I can’t find my unit. What should I do?
Try searching just your town name, or clear the area and type filters. If it’s still missing, ask your unit leader or call the council office at 401.351.8700.
My child is in two units, or I have more than one Scout. Which should I pick?
Pick whichever unit you’d like to support. You’re also welcome to give to each unit separately.
Does my gift go straight to my unit’s bank account?
No. Gifts go to the council’s Annual Fund, which supports all units. Your unit is credited with your participation.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
The Narragansett Council is a nonprofit organization, and gifts are generally tax-deductible. You’ll receive a receipt by email. Check with your tax advisor about your situation.
I’m not a Scout parent. Can I still give?
Yes, and thank you. Grandparents, alumni and friends can give through a unit above or make a general gift to the council.
