All Cub Activities

Cub Scouts have a world of fun and learning waiting for them: Pinewood Derby races, day camp, family camping weekends, service projects and more, for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. Start here:

Getting started

Cub Scouts is a program for boys and girls in grades K–5. Kids meet in small groups with their classmates, learn new skills through hands-on adventures, and join bigger council events with families from all over the area.

  1. Find a Cub Scout group in your area

Cub Scouts meet in local groups called packs. Look for one close to home that fits your family’s schedule.

  2. Join and meet your den

Your child joins a den of kids in the same grade. Families can sign up online in a few minutes.

  3. Come to your first activity

Den meetings, pack events and council activities like the ones below are where the fun starts.

Common questions

Do I need to be in a pack to attend council activities?

Most council activities are for registered Cub Scouts and their families. If you’re not registered yet, find a pack near you and you’ll be ready for upcoming events.

Do parents stay during activities?

Lions and Tigers always take part with an adult partner. For older ranks it depends on the event, and each event listing explains what’s expected of families.

How do I sign up for an event?

Open the event calendar, choose an activity and register online. Some events are registered by your pack leader, so check with your Cubmaster too.

What if cost is a concern?

The council offers financial assistance so every Scout can take part in camp and activities.
